Ağrı deploys 409 personnel to enhance school security

Under the auspices of the Ağrı Governorship and the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of National Education, 409 school garden personnel have begun duties to ensure student safety in Ağrı. The staff, deployed through the Public Benefit Program (TYP), includes 100 personnel in the city center and 309 in various districts.

These workers are responsible for monitoring student entry and exit, supervising school yards during breaks, maintaining order, and identifying potential risks to report to relevant authorities. Before beginning their duties for the 2026-2027 academic year, the personnel completed five days of specialized training focused on security protocols and risk assessment.

Abdulhaluk Çakan, the Provincial Director of National Education, emphasized that school security is a vital component of the educational process, affecting both students' rights and teachers' working environments. The initiative involves close coordination between school administrations, garden personnel, and security forces, particularly in schools requiring heightened precautionary measures.
