A.R. Rahman announces upcoming autobiography

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman has announced he is writing an autobiography titled ‘Rahman: A Renaissance’. The book will be co-authored by writer Rupa Chakravarty.

Rahman shared the news on social media, stating the project will offer a closer look at the music, ideas, challenges, influences, and creative journey that have shaped his life.

The composer rose to prominence with his 1992 debut in the film ‘Roja’ and has since maintained a long-standing collaboration with director Mani Ratnam. His career includes six National Film Awards and several major international honors, including two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe for his work on ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
