Ağrı Women's Football Team targets promotion to 1st League

The Ağrı Women's Football Team is preparing for the 2026-2027 season with the goal of promoting from the TFF Women's 2nd League to the 1st League. Under the management of Technical Supervisor Önder Tunay, the team is conducting training sessions at the Vali Lütfi Yiğenoğlu City Stadium, focusing on conditioning, technical skills, and tactical drills.

Following a fourth-place finish last season, which Tunay attributed to a lack of support and community engagement, the team has regained momentum through renewed support from Governor Önder Bozkurt. The current squad includes approximately 18 to 19 players, including Esma Karakaya, who has played for the club for four years. Despite challenges such as a limited number of available teams for friendly matches, the team is prioritizing physical preparation and squad strengthening through ongoing transfer efforts.
