Ara Malikian: The career of the Lebanese-Spanish violinist
Ara Malikian is a Lebanese-Spanish violinist of Armenian descent. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, on September 14, 1968, he began his musical training under his father's guidance and performed his first concert at age 12.
Malikian's musical style integrates diverse cultural influences, including Middle Eastern (Arabic and Jewish), Central European, Argentine tango, and Spanish flamenco. He currently resides in Madrid and performs with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra.
His extensive discography includes works such as ‘Le quattro stagioni’, ‘The Incredible Story of Violin’, and various interpretations of Bach, Paganini, and Vivaldi.
