Araçatuba announces R$ 5.7 million for urban revitalization
The city of Araçatuba has announced an investment of over R$ 5.7 million to revitalize key urban and cultural sites in its historic center. The project focuses on two strategic locations: the historic Railway Platform and the Nelson Reis Alves Urban Terminal.
Approximately R$ 4.57 million is allocated to the restoration of the Railway Platform. Built in the early 1960s, the 2,650-square-meter structure is undergoing municipal heritage listing. The planned works include structural recovery, roof waterproofing, and general painting to preserve its original architectural characteristics.
The remaining funds will be used to improve the urban terminal, aiming to optimize public transportation infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents while attracting visitors to the renovated spaces.
