Araçatuba to inaugurate new security and mobility headquarters

The city of Araçatuba is set to inaugurate three new facilities dedicated to public security and urban mobility. These developments coincide with the 77th anniversary of the Municipal Civil Guard.

New structures include the headquarters for the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, a base for the newly established Specialized Tactical Patrolling Group (GEP), and a new headquarters for the Municipal Urban Mobility Secretariat. The security headquarters covers over 6,000 square meters and includes spaces for fleet maintenance, training, and housing.

The GEP, created in May, is designed to handle complex occurrences, crisis management, and support for Civil Defense. Investments for the group included specialized vehicles and equipment such as carbines, shields, and helmets, as well as a virtual shooting range for simulated training. The Urban Mobility headquarters will centralize administrative services, planning, and public service in a single location.
