Arab League demands accountability for Houthi attacks in Aden and Marib

The Arab League has called on the international community to hold Houthi rebels accountable following a series of escalations in Yemen. Recent missile attacks targeted Ma'ashiq Palace, the temporary seat of the Yemeni government in Aden, resulting in five deaths and sixteen injuries. Subsequent strikes also hit Aden International Airport, marking the second attack on the facility in less than a week.

In addition to the strikes in Aden, Houthi forces launched ballistic missiles at the city of Marib, coinciding with expanded fighting across several fronts in the province. The Arab League described these actions as a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law that threatens Yemen's stability and undermines peace efforts.

The conflict has intensified following Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian targets, including Aramco and the Riyadh airport. This escalation is part of a broader regional instability involving Iran, Hezbollah, and various Middle Eastern actors. While the Saudi-led government seeks military solutions to reclaim territory, the conflict continues to impact regional security and global energy concerns.
