Arab political parties Hadash, Taal, and Balad agree to run on joint list

Arab-majority political parties Hadash, Taal, and Balad have announced an agreement to run on a joint list for the upcoming legislative elections, effectively reviving the ‘United Arab List’.

A recent Israel Hayom poll indicates that this consolidation is impacting the political landscape. The combined Hadash-Ta’al-Balad list is projected to hold 8 seats, an increase from 5 seats in previous polling.

The poll shows Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s right-wing bloc falling to 51 seats, short of the 61 required to form a government. Meanwhile, the opposition ‘change bloc’ holds 56 seats. The results highlight a continued political deadlock, as the opposition lacks a majority without support from Arab parties.
