Aracaju and Sinop add new traffic lights to improve urban flow

The municipality of Aracaju, Brazil, inaugurated three new traffic‑signal clusters on Governor Paulo Barreto Avenue in the Farolândia neighborhood on Friday. The upgrades include one‑way street redesigns on several nearby streets, revitalized crosswalks and new vertical signage, aiming to reduce vehicle‑pedestrian conflicts and speed travel to the city centre.

In Sinop, Mato Grosso, a new three‑phase traffic light was installed at the intersection of Avenida das Figueiras and Avenida das Itaúbas. Municipal authorities say the signal is part of a broader plan to modernise traffic control as the city’s vehicle fleet expands, improving safety and flow during peak hours.
