Aracaju hosts major running events and marathons

Aracaju is hosting multiple running events. The 2026 Aracaju Marathon has seen significant growth, with registrations exceeding 14,000 participants, up from approximately 10,000 in the previous edition. Currently, over 90% of available spots are filled, leaving only the 5 km distance available via the 'Kit Quero Correr'. The event will feature musical performances by Ninha da Bahia on October 31 and Tony Salles on November 1.

Additionally, the Sesc Running Circuit will take place in Aracaju on September 12. The race offers 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km courses. Registration for this event requires the donation of 10 kg of rice or beans to support the Sesc Mesa Brasil program, which aims to combat hunger and food waste.
