Aracaju launches photography salon and community cultural program
The Municipal Culture Secretariat (Secult Aju) participated in the ninth edition of the Tamo Junto Aracaju program on July 19, offering storytelling, children’s musical activities, a reading space and a performance by Trio Piauí at the Deputado Jaime Araújo Elementary School in the Soledade neighbourhood. The event aimed to bring cultural services closer to families while they accessed municipal health, social and citizenship assistance.
The Aracaju City Hall, through the Cultural Foundation of Aracaju (Funcaju) and the Álvaro Santos Art Gallery, released the call for the 11th Photography Salon, themed “Aracaju em Mim”. Submissions are accepted until July 28 via the Mapa Cultural platform. The competition offers cash prizes of up to R$5,000 for the top three entries and five merit certificates, encouraging photographers to capture personal memories and perspectives of the city.
