Aracaju revitalizes public spaces through urban works and cultural events

The city of Aracaju is implementing various initiatives to revitalize and occupy its public spaces. Through the ‘Nossa Praça’ program, the municipal government, via Emurb, recently inaugurated the revitalization of Praça das Mães in the Aeroporto neighborhood. The project included the recovery of sidewalks and curbs, aiming to create a more accessible and welcoming environment for residents and local merchants.

Simultaneously, the ‘Descubra Aracaju’ project, a partnership between the Municipal Tourism Secretariat (Setur) and Fecomércio/SE, has been hosting a week of free cultural and musical programming. Events held between October 1 and October 4 took place at several locations, including Parque da Sementeira, Mirante da 13 de Julho, Praça Dom José Thomaz, and Praça Tobias Barreto, featuring diverse musical genres to encourage the use of urban leisure areas.
