Jharkhand Congress demands resignation of Election Commissioner
Jharkhand Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh has called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing the Election Commission of acting as an agent for the central government.
Speaking regarding recent protests in Delhi, Kamlesh characterized the government's actions as a “murder of democracy” and an attempt to suppress peaceful demonstrations. He alleged that the government has secured power through “vote theft” and claimed that approximately 130 million voters have been removed from rolls across the country through various conspiracies.
Kamlesh further criticized the heavy security measures and disruptions to transportation—including metro and train services—during protests, questioning why the government fears transparency. He specifically cited issues in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Bihar as evidence of systemic electoral manipulation.
