Aragón confirms first La Merced housing phase in Huesca; Canarias advances Affordable Housing Stock Exchange

In Huesca, 27 homes in the first phase of La Merced are set to be allocated to beneficiaries in May, with a second phase planned for 2027. The overall delivery timeline reflects the progress of the urbanization work and approvals needed for occupancy and supplies.

The timetable has encountered a roughly two-month delay, attributed to a “complex administrative” process involving the Government of Aragón, the City of Huesca, and Endesa, which was necessary to complete urbanization, obtain the occupancy license, and secure the necessary utilities.

In the Canary Islands, the regional government announced a tender for a comprehensive service to implement, launch, and operate the Bolsa Activa de Vivienda Asequible, a scheme designed to mobilize privately owned vacant housing stock.
