Aragón announces economic aid for livestock and local commerce

The Government of Aragón has launched several economic initiatives to support the regional economy. A total of 550,000 euros has been allocated to compensate livestock farmers for losses in grazing areas caused by wildfires during the summer of 2026. These subsidies target sheep, goat, bovine, and equine producers in 38 municipalities across Huesca, Zaragoza, and Teruel.

Additionally, the 'Volveremos' campaign is expanding to 71 municipalities with a budget of approximately 9.8 million euros. This program, a collaboration between the regional government and local councils, aims to stimulate local commerce by allowing consumers to recover a portion of their spending at participating small businesses.

Looking toward 2027, the Department of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment is set to receive a budget of 97 million euros. This funding will support technological development, including the Alierta Technology District, and digital transformation plans for small and medium-sized enterprises.
