Aragonese Tower in Bosa to undergo restoration and reopening
The Aragonese Tower in Bosa Marina is set to reopen to the public following a restoration and safety project. The tower has been closed for more than ten years.
The municipal administration has awarded the contracts for the renovation and securing of the site. The project, valued at 150,000 euros, is entirely funded by the Sardinia Region through an amendment to the regional financial law.
Planned works include replacing old balustrades on access ramps, installing safety parapets on the islet at the base of the tower, and upgrading the electrical infrastructure. The upgrades will provide new internal and external lighting, including artistic ground lighting to highlight the historical site. Additionally, the area in front of the entrance will be redesigned to accommodate outdoor cultural events.
Upon completion, the management of the tower will be entrusted to the Fondazione Bosa, which will oversee organizational aspects and the reopening to the public.
