Araguatins launches 2026 Praia da Ponta river beach season with concert

The municipality of Araguatins, in the northern Tocantins state of Brazil, officially opened the 2026 season of Praia da Ponta, a river beach on the Araguaia River, on Sunday (19). The opening featured a headline concert by popular singer Kadu Martins, with additional performances by Josilé Lima, Helenildo Alves, Nailson Monteiro and the group Lamazon Forró Moral.

The event marks the start of the region's busiest tourism period, drawing visitors from nearby towns and boosting sectors such as hotels, restaurants, transport, commerce and informal vendors. The city has announced only the opening program so far and will release a full schedule of activities in the coming days.
