Aramco dismisses worker following fraud allegations in Hualpén

A controversy involving content creator Rodrigo Fernández, known as ‘Otakin’, has led to the dismissal of a worker at an Aramco service station in Hualpén, Chile. The incident began when Fernández accused the station of fraud after paying approximately $30,000 CLP for fuel that was never dispensed into his vehicle. He further alleged that the receipt provided did not match the service rendered.

Following the viral social media reports, Aramco confirmed the departure of the employee involved. Esmax, the company managing the distributor, issued a statement expressing regret over the incident and stating, “As a company, we categorically reject any practices such as those described and reaffirm our commitment to respect and good treatment toward our customers.”

In subsequent updates, Fernández reported that a worker at the station had mocked him when bystanders approached to take photographs. He shared social media posts showing the individual being inspected by the PDI, the Labor Directorate, and Migration officials, stating, “Now I am returning the favor.”
