Aran Park hosts diverse wildlife and conservation efforts

Aran Park, located near Bossòst in the Vall d’Aran, serves as a site for observing diverse wildlife, including wolves, bears, deer, and lynxes. While the park hosts native Pyrenean fauna, it also accommodates species from other latitudes, such as the white wolf and the Patagonian hare.

A significant conservation effort is underway regarding the Iberian wild goat, a species that disappeared from the Pyrenees in the early 20th century. Since 2014, various projects have worked toward its reintroduction, with Aran Park participating through plans to release specimens to help restore the species to the mountain range.
