Aranjuez hosts XXXIII Early Music Festival

The XXXIII edition of the Aranjuez Early Music Festival will take place from October 2 to November 8, 2024. The event features ten concerts held at various local heritage sites, including the Royal Palace Chapel, the Teatro Real Carlos III, and the Bodega de Carlos III.

The program focuses on 17th and 18th-century repertoire, including works by Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, and Corelli. Featured performers include the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Lina Tur Bonet, and the Hippocampus ensemble under the direction of Richard Egarr. This edition also commemorates the 300th anniversary of musicologist Charles Burney and the bicentenary of composer Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga.
