ARAPANA HOSTEL opens near Araha Beach in Okinawa

Godo Kaisha 1986 has announced the opening of ARAPANA HOSTEL, a new capsule-style accommodation located near Araha Beach in Chatan, Okinawa. The facility officially opened on August 31, 2026.

The hostel aims to address the diversifying needs of travelers in Okinawa, where visitor numbers reached a record high of over 10.7 million in 2025. While the existing Araha Resort ARAPANA focuses on families and groups, the new hostel provides 42 capsule beds designed for solo travelers, inbound tourists, and long-term residents such as those participating in workations.

The facility is intended to serve various purposes beyond traditional sightseeing, including sports training camps, music festivals, and business trips. It features a shared lounge to facilitate interaction among travelers and is located within walking distance of Mihama American Village.
