Arapongas and Maringá launch drainage and road expansion works

The municipality of Arapongas, Paraná, authorized a 90‑day drainage project on Rua Tangará near the Cocamar depot. The contract was awarded to Techpavi Pavimentação, with the aim of improving storm‑water runoff and road safety. The mayor, Rafael Cita, warned that temporary traffic changes may occur while the work progresses.

Maringá, also in Paraná, published a tender to duplicate Avenida João Pereira and extend Rua Garça. The project, funded with about R$8.79 million through a state agreement, will be carried out by the winning contractor over a 240‑day period. Works include road widening, a central bike lane, accessible sidewalks, drainage, lighting, and landscaping, intended to boost traffic flow, mobility and safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
