Arapongas Municipal Guard rescues injured seriema bird

The Municipal Guard of Arapongas rescued an injured seriema, a wild bird species, in the Conjunto Tropical residential neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

Following an alert from the operations center, the Environmental Defense Group arrived at the scene to find the bird wounded and in need of urgent clinical intervention. To ensure its survival, agents transported the animal to a university veterinary hospital in Londrina for specialized medical care. The bird will undergo a full evaluation with the goal of eventually being released back into its natural habitat.
