Arapongas school project named Agrinho 2026 finalist

Students from the Escola Municipal Dr. Antonio Grassano Jr in Arapongas have been selected as finalists in the Agrinho 2026 program. Their project, titled “Quando o Campo Floresce na Cidade: a força da avicultura transformando espaços, pessoas e comunidade”, was chosen from 448 entries to be among the 30 best pedagogical experiences in Paraná.

Led by teacher Keli C. Brumati Ostroski, the 4th-grade project focused on the local poultry industry to teach students about the egg production chain, sustainability, composting, and waste reuse. The students applied their learning by revitalizing a local square in front of the school, demonstrating the link between food production and urban environmental preservation.

The winners, who will receive one of five new cars, will be announced on November 9 during a ceremony in Pinhais.
