Araraquara celebrates 209 years with civic parade

Araraquara celebrated its 209th anniversary with a civic parade held on August 22 on Avenida Bento de Abreu. Under the theme ‘Patrimônio Vivo – A Araraquara que habita em nós’, the event aimed to honor the city's history, culture, and traditions.

The celebration involved approximately 3,000 participants from 107 different organizations, including educational institutions, security forces, social projects, and cultural groups. Mayor Dr. Lapena attended the event, which was organized by various municipal secretariats to showcase the identity and memory of the municipality.
