Araraquara city secures R$9.5 million for school centre renovations

The municipality of Araraquara, Brazil, obtained approval from the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE) to release about R$9.5 million for the refurbishment of two Community Education and Recreation centres – CER Caic Prefeito Rubens Cruz I (≈R$5.9 million) and CER Prefeito Rubens Cruz II (≈R$3.6 million). The projects, waiting since late 2025, can proceed once the final commitment term is signed, after which the city will launch the public bidding process for contractors. The municipal education department also plans to revive other stalled works that were previously halted by the FNDE, aiming to continue upgrades to the local school infrastructure.
