Araras municipal transport service opens bus driver recruitment

The Serviço Municipal de Transportes Coletivos de Araras (SMTCA) in São Paulo has opened a selection process to fill 11 urgent bus driver positions for urban and student transport. The vacancies include 10 spots for general competition and one for persons with disabilities (PCD).

Candidates must have a minimum of incomplete elementary education, a category ‘D’ or higher driver's license, and a collective passenger transport course. The positions are for temporary one-year contracts with a 40-hour work week. The initial salary is R$ 2,930.25, supplemented by an unhealthy work allowance of R$ 444.94.

Applications are free and must be submitted online via the official SMTCA website between August 12 and August 21, 2026. The selection process will consist exclusively of a practical driving test scheduled for August 30, which will evaluate vehicle handling and adherence to traffic rules.
