AZ Alkmaar secures dominant Europa League victory over Ararat-Armenia

AZ Alkmaar achieved a commanding 4-0 victory against Ararat-Armenia in their Europa League fixture. Following a recent disappointing draw in domestic play, trainer Leeroy Echteld implemented significant squad rotation, making seven changes to the starting lineup to manage player fatigue and injuries.

The victory was highlighted by a standout performance from Weslley Patati, who scored twice and provided an assist. Valdemar Byskov also contributed to the win by scoring with a free kick. Dutch media outlets, including Noordhollands Dagblad and De Telegraaf, praised the team's professional response and the effectiveness of the rotation strategy, which has been dubbed ‘Team Europa’.

This win marks a successful continuation of AZ's campaign in European competition, demonstrating the depth of the squad despite recent challenges in the Eredivisie.
