Arauca Governor inspects UIS construction progress in Saravena

Governor Renson Martínez Prada of Arauca inspected the progress of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) construction project in Saravena. The regional government has invested over 20 billion Colombian pesos to consolidate this higher education initiative.

Currently, the UIS works show a 25% completion rate. To ensure the campus is functional, the Arauca government has also allocated 7.2 billion pesos for the first phase of paths, roads, and pedestrian areas, with work scheduled to begin next week. Additionally, the public utility company Cumare is investing 1.6 billion pesos in water and sewage networks. The project aims to be available for students by 2027.
