Arauco advances Sucuriú Project logistics in Brazil

Arauco has begun receiving the first wagons and tritrains for its Sucuriú Project, a US$ 4.6 billion cellulose plant located in Inocência, Brazil. The logistics infrastructure includes 721 wagons for cellulose transport and 350 tritrain trucks for moving timber from cultivation areas to the factory. The wagons, manufactured by Randon, feature side-opening systems for efficient loading and anti-vandalism steel mesh covers. Full delivery of the tritrains is expected by January 2027, with wagons following in November 2027.

To support this industrial expansion, Arauco is also launching a professional qualification program in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. In partnership with Sest Senat, the company is offering free training for 200 drivers to prepare them for the forestry market. The program aims to upgrade driver licenses and provides a bonus equivalent to one minimum wage upon completion. This initiative is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled labor driven by the region's expanding forestry and logistics sectors.
