Arauco begins beam installation for railway bridge in Inocência
Arauco has begun installing support beams for a 270-meter-long railway bridge over the São Mateus stream in Inocência, Mato Grosso do Sul. This construction is a critical component of the Sucuriú Project, which aims to transport future cellulose production.
The bridge is currently 70% complete according to the schedule, while the overall railway project has reached 50.8% progress. The structure is being built with reinforced concrete and will utilize approximately 9,000 cubic meters of concrete and 500 tons of steel. The installation involves lifting 18 support beams, each weighing 92 tons and measuring roughly 30 meters in length and 3 meters in height. These beams will support the bridge deck, which will eventually hold the railway ballast, sleepers, and rails.
