Araucária Central Terminal to receive R$ 26 million modernization
The Government of Paraná has announced plans to expand and modernize the Araucária Central Terminal in the Curitiba Metropolitan Region. A bidding process for the project is scheduled to launch in August.
The modernization project involves a total investment of R$ 26 million, funded through a partnership between the State Government and the City of Araucária. The upgrades will include structural expansions, additional platforms, new roofing, updated flooring, and the creation of commercial spaces and new restrooms. The terminal will also be fully updated to meet accessibility and safety standards.
Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior stated that the investment is part of a broader effort to improve collective transport within the metropolitan area, which integrates 29 cities. The initiative aims to enhance quality of life and reduce commuting costs for residents by maintaining an integrated system.
