Araucária Central Terminal to undergo R$ 26.5 million renovation

The Agência de Assuntos Metropolitanos do Paraná (Amep) has announced a bidding process for the renovation and expansion of the Araucária Central Terminal in the Curitiba metropolitan region. The project, a partnership between the state government and the Araucária City Hall, involves an investment of approximately R$ 26.5 million.

The renovation plan includes structural upgrades such as new roofing, flooring, and an increased number of platforms. To improve passenger experience and safety, the project will implement accessibility standards, climate control, camera monitoring, elevators, and new restrooms. The terminal will also feature new commercial spaces and improved operational support areas for workers.

Sustainability is a key component of the upgrade, which includes the installation of a solar power plant equipped with 242 photovoltaic panels. Additionally, the facility will provide bicycle racks to support multi-modal transport.
