Araucária strengthens flood prevention and response planning

The City of Araucária is strengthening its municipal contingency plan to improve prevention and response to heavy rainfall. Following recent flooding and risk incidents in various regions, the Municipal Civil Defense coordinated a meeting with various secretariats to evaluate current procedures and identify areas for improvement.

During the assessment, the Civil Defense presented climate projections indicating a gradual warming of the Equatorial Pacific Ocean waters, which could impact weather patterns through early 2027.
