Araxá to host emergency response training and mass casualty simulation

Araxá will host a Multiple Casualty Incident (IMV) simulation and training event on August 27 and 28. The initiative aims to prepare health, public safety, rescue, and civil defense professionals for large-scale emergencies.

The program begins on August 27 with a technical workshop at Uniaraxá, offering free training for nurses, technicians, and students on topics such as pre-hospital care, advanced life support, and decision-making under pressure.

On August 28, a large-scale practical exercise will take place at the Fausto Alvim Municipal Stadium. This simulation will recreate a disaster scenario to test rapid response protocols, including the implementation of the Incident Command System (ICS), START triage, and the establishment of an Advanced Medical Post.
