ARBA launches tax debt regularization plan in Buenos Aires
The Agency of Collection of the Province of Buenos Aires (ARBA) has launched a special payment plan to allow taxpayers to regularize outstanding debts for various taxes, including real estate, automotive, and gross income. The program, which began on October 26, offers discounts of up to 40% for lump-sum payments, with tiered benefits that decrease as the deadline approaches.
Taxpayers can choose between lump-sum payments or installments of three and six months. The highest discounts are available until November 13, offering 40% for cash payments, 20% for three installments, and 15% for six installments. Between November 14 and November 27, the discounts drop to 35%, 15%, and 10%, respectively. A further reduction applies from November 28 to December 11, and a final stage runs from December 12 to December 31.
The initiative targets approximately 3.6 million taxpayers across the province, aiming to regularize roughly $20 billion in debt. In La Plata, the third district with the highest number of debtors, 189,123 taxpayers are eligible, with total debts exceeding $1 billion. Other heavily affected districts include La Matanza and General Pueyrredón. The process is conducted entirely online through the official ARBA website.
