Arbeiderpartiet releases county council nomination lists for Østfold and Finnmark

The Norwegian Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet) has released preliminary nomination lists for the county council elections in Østfold and Finnmark.

In Østfold, the nomination committee has proposed Sindre Martinsen-Evje from Sarpsborg as the candidate for county mayor, with Camilla Aas from Indre Østfold placed second on the list. The proposal is currently undergoing a hearing process within the party organization, with a final decision expected at a nomination meeting on November 21, 2026.

In Finnmark, the committee has presented a comprehensive list featuring Helga Pedersen as the candidate for county mayor and Lavrans Lyngstad as the deputy candidate. The list aims to ensure geographic breadth across the county, incorporating candidates from various local branches. The proposal is now open for hearing until October 10, with the final list to be presented on November 1. The party will formally process the program and list during a meeting in Alta on November 14 and 15.
