Arbeiter‑Samariter‑Bund fulfills final wishes for terminally ill patients in Germany
The Arbeiter‑Samariter‑Bund (ASB) wishes‑wagon program provides free, medically supported trips for seriously ill patients to fulfill their last wishes. In one outing, Anette, a client of Renafan Intensivpflegedienst LebensTraum GmbH, spent a day at Vogelpark Marlow with her family, accompanied by two medical professionals and a surprise visit from her son Martin. The group enjoyed feeding animals, watching flight shows and ending the day with ice cream.
In another trip, Nadine, a hospice patient from Rotenburg, visited Jaderpark with her husband Jörg and children Stella and Luca. Volunteers Pauline and Sabrina assisted the family as they fed alpacas, observed giraffes, rode a roller coaster and shared a pizza. Both outings were organized by ASB volunteers and made possible through donations and volunteer effort, offering cherished memories for patients and their families.
