Arbejdermuseet integrates youth perspectives on working life

The Arbejdermuseet in Copenhagen is launching a major initiative to incorporate the perspectives of students and apprentices into its programming. Supported by a 1.75 million DKK grant from Villum Fonden, the project aims to involve young people in developing educational content, events, and activities that reflect the realities of the modern labor market.

Through discussions with 34 young participants, the museum has identified key concerns regarding the future of work, including sexism, stress, inequality, and the balance between professional and private life. These insights are being integrated into the museum's upcoming special exhibition, ‘Det er bare et arbejde’ (It is just a job), which features personal stories and dilemmas shared by the youth to help others reflect on their own working environments.
