Arbitrum sees stablecoin growth as Paxos launches USDG
Arbitrum has seen a significant surge in stablecoin market capitalization, recording an increase of $127 million over a 24-hour period. This growth indicates rising liquidity within the network, which may support increased activity in decentralized finance (DeFi) sectors such as lending, borrowing, and trading.
In a related development, Paxos is expanding its USDG stablecoin to the Arbitrum ecosystem. USDG, which has approximately $3 billion in circulation, aims to provide a digital representation of the U.S. dollar for users on the Ethereum layer-2 scaling network. To drive adoption, a proposed incentive program involving 100 million ARB tokens has been suggested to encourage liquidity and integration across decentralized exchanges and lending protocols.
