Arbo launches wellness workshops for rural seniors
The Arbo City Council has launched the “Activa-Mente no Rural” project, designed to support the elderly population in rural areas. The initiative aims to combat social isolation and mobility challenges by offering two weekly workshops at the Arbo Social Center.
The program is divided into two main areas: “Active Body, Awake Mind,” which focuses on physical and cognitive well-being through gentle gymnastics and memory exercises, and “Sustainable Creativity,” which utilizes arts and recycling to foster community bonds. The workshops are open to residents over the age of 55.
