Arboreal Bioinnovations raises Rs 230 cr Series A for food ingredient expansion
Arboreal Bioinnovations Private Limited, India's first specialty food and nutraceutical ingredients technology company, announced a Rs 230 crore Series A funding round. The round was co‑led by Omnivore and EAAA, the alternatives arm of Edelweiss, with existing investor Rainmatter (Zerodha) also participating.
The capital will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen research and development, and accelerate commercialization of next‑generation functional ingredients, including novel proteins, cocoa‑based ingredients, zero‑calorie sweeteners and functional fibres. The company says its platform has supported more than 300 product launches for over 1,100 consumer and nutraceutical brands in the past 18 months and has more than doubled year‑on‑year growth.
"This fundraising is a strong validation of the direction we are taking as a company," said co‑founder and CEO Swati Pandey. "It gives us the fuel to accelerate our mission of building clean, science‑led solutions that address some of the world's most pressing nutritional and food challenges." Co‑founder and COO Manish Chauhan added that the investment enables deeper investment in science, talent and long‑term innovation.
