ARC Raiders gets revamped matchmaking and hotfix for duplicate explosives exploit

Embark Studios rolled out a significant update for ARC Raiders, separating matchmaking for Solo, Duo and Trio modes so the system evaluates each play style independently. The patch also launched a new Expedition and Trials season, added a THE FINALS‑themed cosmetic, and introduced several quality‑of‑life and balance tweaks such as increased ARC Turbine loot value and visual object fixes. Ongoing anti‑cheat measures have reduced the proportion of players generating abnormal profits to under one percent.

A rapid hotfix followed the 1.36 update to close a duplication exploit that allowed massive amounts of explosives to spawn, threatening the in‑game economy. While the fix was praised for its speed, the community has criticised the continued presence of an older weapon‑duplication bug that still distorts the economy. Embark confirmed it will continue banning accounts that exploit these issues.

Both changes aim to restore balance and improve player experience in the multiplayer extraction‑shooter.
