ARC Raiders to receive Frozen Trail update on October 8

Embark Studios has announced that the ‘Frozen Trail’ update for ARC Raiders is scheduled for release on October 8, 2026. This marks the largest content update for the game since its initial launch.

Following a strategic shift in May to move away from frequent, smaller updates toward larger, more substantial content drops, this update focuses on a brand-new map located at the edge of the Rust Belt. The new environment features a snowy, mountainous region containing abandoned villages, factories, research facilities, and an observatory.

Executive Producer Aleksander Grondal noted that the new map emphasizes increased verticality and expanded exploration opportunities, presenting threats both above and below ground. The update is prompted by a mysterious signal discovered beyond the mountains, which players will investigate through the character Shani.
