Arca Continental Ecuador honored for ozone layer protection efforts

Arca Continental Ecuador has been recognized in the 2026 Ozone Ecuador Awards under the “Responsible Management of Refrigerants” category. The distinction was granted by the Ozone Technical Unit of the Ministry of Economic Development and Productive Sector, with support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

The award highlights the company’s efforts in implementing best practices for the recovery, handling, and proper disposal of refrigerants to protect the ozone layer and mitigate climate impact. Key initiatives include specialized technical training for personnel, such as a certification program completed by refrigeration technicians in Quito in May 2025.
