CAMYEN launches interactive geological map for Catamarca mining

Catamarca Minera y Energética (CAMYEN) has launched a new interactive geological-mining map designed to increase transparency and facilitate investment in the province. The digital platform, accessible via camyeninvestments.com.ar, provides free and open access to data regarding 466 mining assets organized into nine districts and 44 groups.

The tool integrates critical information including mineral types, legal status, geological potential, and technical variables aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. Additionally, the platform allows users to cross-reference geological data with regional infrastructure, such as national and provincial road networks, high-voltage power lines, energy sources, and airports.

This launch represents the first phase of a three-stage plan following CAMYEN’s transformation into a Single-Member Corporation (S.A.U.). Officials noted that the initiative aims to provide decision-making support for both the state and private investors while ensuring public accountability through open data.
