Argentina tax agencies update deadlines and banking regulations

Argentina's tax and banking landscape is seeing several regulatory and promotional updates. The Agency of Collection and Customs Control (ARCA) has modified the Income Tax calendar, extending the deadline for the 2025 fiscal year tax return to September 22, 2026. However, the payment deadline for the resulting balance remains July 27, 2026. Additionally, the monthly payment for Monotributistas (simplified tax regime) has been moved to Monday, September 21, due to the 20th falling on a Sunday.

In Buenos Aires province, ARBA, in collaboration with Banco Provincia, has implemented a measure to exclude special bank accounts used by real estate agencies from the withholding tax regime. This aims to prevent the accumulation of credit balances from third-party funds used in property transactions, facilitating better banking practices for the sector. Executive Director Cristian Girard stated the move seeks to resolve historical issues regarding the management of client funds.

Regarding consumer benefits, Banco Provincia’s Cuenta DNI program is transitioning its discount structure. The 20% weekly discount for local commerce ends this Friday, making way for a 25% discount on gastronomy during weekends, along with specific promotions for veterinary services.
