Arcfox begins pre-sales for 2027 Alpha S5 electric sedan

Arcfox, an electric vehicle brand under Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), has officially opened pre-sales for the 2027 Alpha S5. The new model is positioned as an “AI high-performance wide-body sports sedan” and features 192-channel LiDAR as a standard configuration across all variants.

Three battery-electric versions are available with pre-sale prices ranging from 121,800 yuan to 144,800 yuan. The lineup includes the 650 Plus LiDAR, the 650 Max LiDAR, and the 750 Max LiDAR Shenxing. All models utilize CATL batteries, offering CLTC driving ranges of either 650 km or 750 km.

The 750 Max variant supports 5C ultra-fast charging, capable of replenishing 560 km of range in 15 minutes. Performance specifications include a single rear-mounted motor with a peak output of 227 kW, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds. Advanced driver-assistance features include urban and highway navigation assistance, automatic emergency steering, and memory parking with a range of up to 2 km.
