Arcfox confirms T5 SUV arrival in New Zealand for 2027
Arcfox, the electric vehicle brand of BAIC, has expanded its presence in New Zealand following the launch of the T1 model. Local distributor Auto Distribution Holdings confirmed that the Arcfox T5 mid-size SUV is scheduled to arrive in the country in early 2027.
The T5 will be available in both battery electric and range-extender formats. The electric versions are expected to utilize CATL-supplied batteries with CLTC ranges between 560 km and 705 km. The range-extender variant features a 1.5-litre generator, providing a combined total range of 1,215 km. The vehicle is built on an 800V platform designed to support fast charging.
While the initial T1 launch focused on value with a $34,990 price point, the brand aims to establish its premium identity through upcoming models like the T5. The T5 will enter a highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, facing competition from brands such as Leapmotor and MG.
