Arch Manning named to Manning Award preseason watch list

Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning has been named to the preseason watch list for the Manning Award. This marks the first time the senior quarterback has been selected for the preseason list of the award, which was established by the Allstate Sugar Bowl to honor the college football achievements of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning.

Manning has accumulated several other preseason honors, including spots on the watch lists for the Davey O'Brien Award, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, the Walter Camp National Player of the Year Award, and the Maxwell Award. He was also named to the Walter Camp All-America Preseason First Team and selected as a Preseason All-SEC Second-Team player.

Following his first full season as a starter in 2025, Manning led the Longhorns to a 10-3 record. During that campaign, he completed 248 of 404 passes for 3,163 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also contributed significantly as a runner, recording 399 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.
